Houston for the holidays

I wanted to name this post Home for the holidays but its not home without Brian there with me, plus our home is now in Melbourne, for a few more years anyways!

Not sure if too many people know because I was being very sneaky about this but I made a surprise trip back to see my family last week.  My mom, dad and Griffin did not know I would be there.  My mom and dad were in San Diego to see Griffins Marine bootcamp graduation.  We are all so proud of him!!!!  When they got back to the house (at around 3am!) we were all up ready to surprise them!  It took mom a second or two to realize that I wasnt supposed to be there haha it was so much fun and so great to see them!

Now to back track a bit.... I arrived the evening before and had the whole day to visit with some friends!  I got to see Lauren my friend from MElbourne who moved back to Houston.  I then saw my best friend Julie, her husband Dustin and their precious baby Lexi!  And for the evening I got to spend dinner with my newly engaged other best friend Amy and all of her future bridesmaids!  It was a fun filled first day :)

The next week was filled with lots of family time, my dads birthday, dinner with my girlfriends, looking at Christmas lights, a delicious Christmas dinner (a bit early!) and a big Peltier Christmas.  It was great seeing everyone and spending time with them at the holidays.  It is not always easy being so far from my family and friends and I really needed this trip to see them all.  I love you all and am already excited to see you next time!
